Bereavement and Grief Counselling
When we think bereavement, we naturally think of the death of a loved one. But bereavement is the experience of losing anything that is significant or meaningful to us. It is characterised by grief, which is the process of going though a wide range of physical and emotional responses as we gradually adjust to life beyond our loss. Grieving someone (or something) important to us can be emotionally devastating – It is so incredibly hard because it often includes the loss of a whole way of life as we know it.
Here are just a few examples of the bereavement work I can help with.

· The death of a spouse, partner, family member, close friend or work colleague,
through old age, illness, accident or suicide.
· Baby loss, termination and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
· A decline in the physical or mental health of someone you love.
· Separation in marriage, divorce, or the end of any significant relationship.
· The loss of a beloved pet. Including those who have lost animals who serve such as
police, security and guide dogs.
· Retirement and redundancy.
· Moving or relocating home/work/university or struggling with 'empty nest syndrome'.
